This film could've been something great. But, Disney had to keep it at PG and not PG-13 and of course, there was some silliness to the script and set design that budgeting for more just wasn't going to happen.

The idea that you have just assembled what appears to be an impossible other worldly device and it just casually plugs into the wall kills me.

One of my all time favorites. I’ve watched it several times in the last couple weeks and I never get tired of it. Love the cast but especially James Olson, he was the normal guy kinda out of place with the other scientists. Great performance and easy on the eyes too, loved him, RIP💕

One of My FAVORITE Sci-Fi movies!! Pretty realistic characters ( the scientists, at least ), plot, and having it come out just as lunar research was a bit fearful of what it could reveal.

Ironic that they chose the "Tron Legacy" Disney opening. Joseph Kosinski's name was actually attached to a planned reboot of "The Black Hole," but then he decided to make "Top Gun Maverick" instead.

For me, the Ent-E Nemesis refit it's the best Enterprise. Enough power to face any enemy and beautiful lines in every angle! And remember, the big E fought without the warp core power, her phasers and shields weren't on 100%

One thing you need to know. The JJverse is NOT Star Trek and never was. Even the producers acknowledged that. What JJ made was an abomination of Mr. Roddenberry's vision and destroyed, or did his best, to destroy the Star Trek franchise. It has taken "honest and true" Trek fans to keep the vision going. Anyone, in my opinion, who shows this so called alternate time line is not a trek fan and hates everything about Roddenberry's future dream like JJ does. It sickens me to no end.

That door hiss sound effect used on the Star Trek original series movies was the worst door sound ever made. The producers should have just stuck with the door sound from the show on the first 5 movies, which thankfully was on the Enterprise 1701-A's control room in the 6th movie.

if you've never seen this movie you're in for a treat it was one of those science Fiction's it didn't have any monsters all I had was an isotope it kept multiplying it was a great movie I enjoyed it so much when I first seen it and it's another one of those that I wouldn't mind seeing a rerun

Saw this at college a year after its release. Eric Christmas does the best impression of a Vermonter I've ever seen in the movies or even TV. The remake of this film was the pits.

I read the book and couldn’t wait for the movie which was well done. As thrillers go, this is done superbly, with few over-the-top additions, e.g. villains, love interests, cartoonish fight scenes or other inducements that have become standard fare in contemporary films. The “thrills” are fomented in the viewers’ psyche, not via phony CGI. Movies are no longer made for the mature audience.
